Sensational Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton Macau

The Ritz-Carlton Macau, a 5-star hotel situated in Galaxy Macau has been setting the standards and has become recognized worldwide for providing an excellent afternoon tea experience.

Does anyone love sitting down and indulging in a sweet and tasty dessert for an afternoon tea other than me? Now and then, I love spending time and catching up with friends in a relax and elegant surroundings.

I’m the type of person who likes to share stories over good food and drinks. More so, its pleasurable sharing conversation with a friend while having the ultimate patisserie experience – Afternoon Tea. This fancy tea-related ritual which I thank the British for sharing it with us is no longer exclusively for aristocrats and affluent members of society. Teas are commonly served from 3:00 – 4:00 pm and constitutes of crustless finger sandwiches, delectable scones, cakes, and other mouth-watering desserts.

Due to its growing demand from travelers and locals alike, Afternoon Tea has been increasing its popularity in Macau. And the perfect spot in Macau to experience and splurge on decadent desserts is in The Ritz-Carlton Macau.

They served the tea in the 51st floor which offers a stunning view of the Galaxy Hotel poolside. Aside from that, the hospitality is exceptional! It was somewhat impressive to know about the overlooking view and surprisingly pleasant greeting that welcomes you when you arrive in their receiving area.

When we arrived, we were led to a corner area of the lobby next to a full glass window that gives a lot of natural light and perfectly showcases the  Galaxypoolside. The lobby area is exceptionally airy! To begin with, I ordered a coffee. The fireplace next to our table gives a warm feeling in the room – perfect for a cold spring breeze.

We splurged a bit and chose the Perrier-Jouët afternoon tea set for MOP 688 for two persons. Alternatively, the Tea set without the champagne cost MOP 488 for two persons. It consists of tea or coffee, four savory delights, four sweet delights, and assorted scones. The delectable treats were substantial and burst with flavors. They all looked lovely and presented with elegance.

They presented the afternoon tea in a polished three-tier gold tea rack, with fancy pants silverware – simple yet sophisticated.

Everything was all wonderfully crisp and delectable, and so very beautifully presented. We moved onto the sweets, even though they looked too pretty to eat! We treat ourselves to Silver Chocolate Mont Blanc, Red Berry Chocolate Yule Log, Pistachio Eclair, Blueberry, and Lavender Tart.

It’s always a fabulous high tea experience at the Ritz! It was a perfect little treat to share with a friend, and the location couldn’t be better! Whether you are taking a break from shopping in Galaxy or just catching up for an afternoon tea with friends, the Ritz-Carlton has got you covered!
